How to Pick the Perfect Green

I have this piece of art.

It’s big and bold and perhaps not to everyone’s taste but I like it. The problem is that it doesn’t fit just anywhere.

And it doesn’t go with beige, my current wall color.

It’s been in the wrong place since I moved in 8 months ago, up on a wall that just happened to have a couple big nails strong enough to hold it.

But recently, I decided to move some art around and I decided to move “Submerged in the Farm Pond” to the dining area. There it had it’s own wall and it didn’t look bad. But I knew what it needed.

It needed a different color behind it.

So I downloaded the Home Depot Project Color App which, cleverly enough, let me pick colors out of the art piece and find a matching paint. How useful!

Of course you still have to pick the right color out of the choices it shows you. I was all set to paint it a dark Windy Pine when my daughter Julia, took the phone away from me, did the color match thing again and found me this beautiful Fresh Sprout (it’s Behr paint)

I think it’s perfect!

I still want to put something on the right, but I can’t think of what. Any ideas?
